Amazon Rainforest
Many people are unaware of the richness that the Ecuadorian Amazon
jungle-rainforest secretly guards. The rainforest is without a doubt
nature's greatest achievement and its great expanse contains more
than 20% of the earth's vascular plant species. Within it's density
some of Ecuador's native tribes are found, while others are merely
recalled though ancient legends that narrate vibrantly the mysticism
of the Amazon Rainforest. |

The
Volcanic Avenue of the Andes
The Andes - Ecuador's backbone -
is composed of two volcanic ranges separated by central valleys where
different ethnic groups have made their settlements. Colorful Indian
markets, relaxing thermal springs and some of the finest climbing
and trekking can be reached by taking the Panamerican Highway, which
runs the length of these valleys, providing spectacular views along
the way. |

Ecuador
is considered as the smallest country on the Andes range and yet
it is among the most gratifying travel destinations in South America.
Ecuador treasures preserved colonial architecture, indigenous cultures,
breathtaking volcanic landscapes and greatly admired fauna and flora
variety, which are only few of the things to marvel in its four
different regions.
With more points of interest than many countries twice its size,
Ecuador also counts with the worldwide known Galapagos
Islands.
